The Oldest Person in the World
The critic
(3.5 out of 5)★★★½☆
Sam Green's decade-long film about whoever holds the title of oldest person alive is a gentle, thoughtful meditation on time, and a personal one. Most critics find it moving; some find it sentimental, slight, or too wrapped up in the director's own story.
If you like essay films led by one voice, it's worth your 87 minutes. If you want rigour, look elsewhere.
